Director of Finance

SUMMARY

The position is generally responsible for creating financial models and analysis of financial and operational metrics to evaluate, monitor and direct business performance. Coordinate and perform financial planning and budget activities across multiple company departments. Ownership of monthly financial planning and reporting package including all key performance indicators, annual budgeting and on-going forecasting exercises. In addition to these, this position is responsible for maintaining consistent and accurate pricing models, effective centralized purchasing practices with the assistance of a Purchasing Specialist, and optimizing the performance of inventory metrics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor company-wide, department specific KPIs. Evaluate existing KPIs and suggest more effective KPIs where necessary.
  • Pricing analysis and maintain master pricing formulas.
  • Inventory management & optimization. Effectively utilize the ERP system to provide inventory intelligence and effective ordering practices.
  • Procurement oversight for both stock and non-stock items.
  • Monitor supplier costs and volumes with our foreign and domestic suppliers.
  • Daily cash monitoring and 30/90 day forecasting.
  • Monitor customer activity; analyze sales reports and trends, to continuously identify where additional efforts may be needed.
  • Monitors effectiveness of sales team initiatives and objectives to meet sales goals timely.
  • Work with Sales’ leadership and team to develop customer level sales forecasting; measure actual ordering to expected ordering vs historical trends.
  • Sales and marketing team ROI and KPI monitoring to determine the overall effectiveness of our sales and marketing efforts.
  • Work with the product development team to monitor costs involved with new product introductions; ROI calculations on new products introduced.
  • Compile monthly financial reporting package and delivery (financials, metrics, budget variance analysis and reporting, monthly management meetings and departmental reviews).
  • Lead annual budgeting process.
  • Corporate financial oversight and support for Brazilian operation.
  • Prepares and presents reports to executive management team as requested.
  • Project adhoc analysis (leases, capex, etc).

  • Supervisory responsibilities; 1-2 direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent experience; Master’s degree a plus.
  • 15 years corporate accounting or finance experience required; CPA license preferred but not required.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading a corporate finance team or initiatives is required.
  • Experience with developing a Balanced Scorecard a plus.
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Professional and able to work with little supervision.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel; experience with enterprise level ERP software a must. Implementation of ERP system experience and knowledge is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

High Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Secondary Language: Mandarin Chinese not required, however considered a plus.

Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

IT Engineer

SUMMARY

Responsible for remote and onsite technical support for IntegraOptics employees. Activities include administration of Windows server environments, hardware and software deployments, managing internal help desk tickets, and follow up for unresolved requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide remote / on-site technical support for end-users and workstations.
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone or electronically.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Research questions using available information resources.
  • Advise customers on appropriate action and follow-up.
  • Log all help desk interactions into company ticketing system.
  • Identify, prioritize and escalate support tickets requiring urgent attention.
  • Follow up on reassigned unresolved requests.
  • Remote and on-site support and administration for Windows server environments
  • Remote and on-site support and administration for hosted solutions
  • Utilize our remote management tools to provide remote user and system support
  • Assist technical team with hardware and software deployment efforts including installing, upgrading and supporting IT systems.
  • Configure hardware including, but not limited to, workstations, servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Install and configure authorized software.

Sales Engineer

SUMMARY

Integra Optics is looking for Sales Engineers throughout the US and Canada. Current vacancies exist in Albany, NY, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Washington, DC and Toronto, Canada. Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team and Engineering as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. The Sales Engineer must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to assist the client’s sales team with technical sales activities for new and existing opportunities.
  • Duties will include product demonstrations, answering technical questions, contributing to proposals, and analyzing client needs to provide technical solutions in a pre-sales technical role.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs and have the ability to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
  • Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Assist Sales in establishing new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.
  • Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements through use of our products or services.
  • Serves as a resource for customers to develop their staff by providing technical information and training.
  • Complies with industry requirements by studying existing and new changes to hardware and networking platforms; anticipating future changes; advising customers on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions.
  • Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
  • Developing support material for other Sales Team members as well as Inside Engineering.
  • Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Working with engineering team to ensure development schedules and deliverables are met.
  • Maintaining records of customer communication and sales activity in our CRM and established internal communication systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • >10 years’ experience and proven success in a Technical Sales Role
  • Embedded firmware development experience preferred.
  • Experience with various networking platforms preferred.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of fiber optic hardware solutions, competitor offerings and can demonstrate competitive advantages.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • HFC and FTTx experience a plus.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 45%; some international travel may be required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Visio and PowerPoint; in-depth knowledge of fiber optic hardware solutions, competitor offerings

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Account Manager

SUMMARY

Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close. Develops and implements agreed upon plan which will meet both personal and company goals of expanding customer base. Works within the sales, marketing and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

  • Develops and implements strategic and tactical sales strategy to meet objectives and increase market share and profitability of products and services
  • Works closely with other members of account teams to ensure growth/product awareness, communication and customer satisfaction.

Network Engineer

SUMMARY

  • As Network Engineer, you will be working closely with managers from the Engineering, Marketing and Sales departments; guiding a team that is charged with developing and sustaining existing and new product lines.
  • Providing solution sales to the current and new customers
  • Supporting the development of new ideas based on your experience and contact with customers
  • Facilitate advanced troubleshooting, testing, and development of new hardware and code to sustain our quality processes. Position current and new products to customers.
  • Provide on-site engineering support at customer sites supporting sales as well as supplier locations in support of product development and company sales

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Duties primarily include engineering design, technical product development, and both internal and external level 3 support.
  • Design, test, and certify code for transceivers to function in a variety of OEM platforms.
  • Ability to assist the sales team with technical support for new and existing opportunities.
  • Develop and engineer customer based solutions in support of Sales.
  • Provide engineering support at customer sites supporting sales.
  • Creation and/or approval of marketing product data sheets, engineering bulletins, and technical papers.
