Integra Optics Appoints New IT Analyst!

LATHAM, N.Y., July 13^th, 2015 – Integra Optics, a leading, global carrier of fiber optic components and one of the fastest growing companies in N.Y. State’s Capital Region, hired Jim Wolbert as an IT Analyst this week.

In addition to providing IT support to Integra Optics’ employees, Wolbert’s duties include managing system backups, troubleshooting hardware, software, and printer issues, and managing new hire set up.

Wolbert was most recently employed at CapCom Federal Credit Union, where he provided IT support, managed the company’s phone system, and served as the lead IT person for their school banking initiative. While at CapCom, Wolbert gained vast technical knowledge and developed outstanding customer service skills that he applies at Integra Optics by providing “a fast, friendly, and efficient IT experience to Integra employees,” Wolbert says.

Wolbert initially became interested in joining the Integra Optics team when he learned that the company carries almost every brand of networking equipment on the market, and that he would have the opportunity to configure each of those devices. “To me, that type of hands on experience is priceless,” Wolbert says. He adds that Integra Optics’ continuous growth and financial success were also big factors in his decision to join the company. As far as the people who are part of the Integra team, Wolbert describes them as “friendly, hardworking, and lighthearted.” He says, “I’ve never been around a group of people who work this hard and make it seem so effortless.”

Wolbert is very excited to be part of the team, and he’s looking forward to building his technical skills through the IT support he provides to employees.

Previous to his career in IT, Wolbert attended the University at Albany where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, and a Masters degree in Information Science with a focus in Information Systems and Technologies. Wolbert also holds a Graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University at Albany.

A current resident of Albany, NY, Wolbert enjoys traveling, cooking, being active, and spending time with friends and family.
