Community Involvement

IntegraOptics is deeply committed to giving back to the community. As a company we provide sponsorship and support to both local and national not-for-profit organizations. We also encourage our employees to give time to important causes and frequently organize company-wide fundraising events on behalf of the organizations we support.

Marine Toys for Tots. This nationwide program collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes them as Christmas gifts to less-fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. IntegraOptics president, David Prescott, and Logistics Coordinator, Albert Roman, are both Marine veterans and long-time supporters of the organization, and have made it an important part of the company’s community service. In the fall of 2013, the not-for-profit relocated its headquarters to IntegraOptics' headquarters facility at Albany International Airport, where Prescott donated warehouse space, part of the company’s airplane hangar, and a forklift. A team of Integra employees also rode a CP Rail train for two days to distribute toys to children throughout upstate New York.

Make-a-Wish of Northeastern New York. In 2013, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York granted wishes to more than 100 kids with life-threatening illnesses in the area. IntegraOptics is an active supporter of the organization. IntegraOptics has supported and participated in this event for the past four years, bringing the company airplane into the event hanger for kids to have the experience of sitting in a pilot’s seat, working with a local Boy Scout troop to put together and donate ‘goodie bags’ for the attendees, and IntegraOptics employees volunteering from anything to making balloon animals to face-painting.
