Integra Optics Expands Management Team with Three New Hires!

LATHAM, N.Y. November, 12th 2015 – Integra Optics, a leading fiber optic solutions company, and one of the fastest-growing companies in New York State’s Capital Region, added three new managers to its senior team: Sr. Director of Product Management, John Homsey, Sr. Director of Marketing, Paul Fahey, and Director of Human Resources, Nick Abdo.

“It’s an exciting time for the company,” says Integra Optics CEO, Dave Prescott. “We quickly emerged as a market leader and are focused on hiring and developing internal talent to sustain our position and seize opportunities in the marketplace. Our growth has been driven by a partnership commitment to our customers with technical expertise, leading edge products, and unsurpassed customer support. John, Paul and Nick will help sustain our momentum and deliver on these core values.”

Homsey, a thought leader and futurist in the field of telecommunications, now leads the Product Development team in identifying and developing new products and solutions that are specifically designed to meet Integra Optics customers’ unique needs. “We look at all the different facets of the industry and the products and how they affect our customers,” Homsey says. “From there we determine how we can help our customers’ day-to-day operations and future needs.” During his 30-year career in the cable and telecommunications industries, Homsey primarily held Director and VP roles overseeing a wide range of departments including sales, technology development, operations, project management, marketing, and engineering.

Fahey, a seasoned marketer, will lead the Marketing team in conceptualizing and implementing Integra Optics’ overall market strategy for domestic and emerging international opportunities. His responsibilities include business and market development, research and planning, strategic direction for promotion, PR and advertising, and strong support for the company’s sales teams. Most recently, Fahey held the post of Marketing Agency Director for Proctors, a regional network of theaters and a travel and tourism bureau. Prior to that, Fahey was the Chief Operating Officer for 11 years at Zone 5 – a marketing, branding, and PR agency in Albany.

Abdo will oversee all aspects of Integra’s human resources department, including employee relations, training, benefits, talent recruitment, retention, development, policy creation & administration, and driving all other HR initiatives. Previous to Integra Optics, Abdo served as Director of Human Resources for X-ray Optical Systems (XOS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Danaher Corp, in East Greenbush, where he was responsible for developing and overseeing the entire HR function. Prior to that role, Abdo was a Senior HR Business Partner for Philips Healthcare, where he led the full-scale post-acquisition implementation of Philips’ HR systems and practices.
